Visit Your Clan Land - Full Day Tour

When they say that one big advantage of a guided tour is someone else to do the driving they were thinking of the "back roads" of Scotland. Not only did James know how to get everywhere, he found the most fascinating back roads to follow. We saw towns where our ancestors had come from, local sites (a castle), the UNESCO World Heritage site in New Lanark and a perfect lunch stop. Being able to concentrate on viewing rather than driving and navigating was essential to the day for us. Highly recommended. Five stars!

We had a delightful and fun filled day with James on our recent trip to Scotland. He became more of a historical driver instead of an actual tour guide, as our specific mission was a hunt for ancestry clues in the area of Ayrshire... not your typical region for Scottish adventure. He took us wherever we wanted to go (legally), and readily joined in the fun in the small towns, hidden farmsteads, and old kirkyards which were on our list. James made this one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Scotland!

James was fabulous. Full of informative and interesting facts and stories. He made sure we were comfortable throughout our day. Because our day was self determined- he was able to adjust in a dime to anything we wanted to do or place we wanted to go. Highly recommend James as your guide to Scotland. He has particularly knowledge and live for the Whisky trail and Scotlands heritage whisky industry.

I would highly recommend James. He arrived well before his scheduled time. Could not miss him in his Proper Scottish attire., Harris tweed ! It was very heartwarming seeing my Grandfathers homeland. He was very thoughtful and took me to Hamilton. He is truly a "people person". He really enjoys his job and is passionate about Scotland. He was very professional but still maintained a great sense of humor. You cannot go wrong hiring James. Hope to see him again along my travels!!!
