Hi, I am Brian and was born and bred in Lanarkshire, Bonnie Scotland. I have worked and travelled in Glasgow and the West of Scotland for the last 30 years as a Chartered Surveyor. On my travels I visited some of the amazing locations that Scotland has to offer. I am biased but we must have the richest country in the world in terms of scenery and culture. I have recently retired and now want to share the history, culture and scenery of this wonderful wee country with others. I speak fluent English with a soft Glasgow accent and studied French at school which I have totally forgotten. I am currently learning Spanish , however, my Spanish is very basic and used when I go to foreign shores to order food. In summary my tours will be in English. I am a keen golfer(currently doing my coaching certificates) and musician (well I play the drums) and love to joke and learn about others. I can therefore, guarantee you that our journey will be entertaining. I drive a Mercedes Benz GLC which has air conditioning and can accommodate 4 passengers plus the driver. You will therefore, have a very comfortable journey. Walking tours in isolation will of course not involve the car. My tours are fun and engaging and can be altered to suit specific requirements so please feel free to ask. I became a guide to meet new and exciting people and hope that my enthusiasm for Scotland will be obvious and add to the enjoyment of your vacation. Hope to see you soon Brian BSc in Land Economics Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Level 1 PGA Golf Coach For my driving tours only,I have an air-conditioned Mercedes Benz GLC that can carry the driver plus 4 passengers. All my tours include walking, however, there is no need to be an Olympic athlete as the pace is gentle. My tours are in English only.

Overview of your Glasgow tour

Embark on a full day tour of Ayrshire, Scotland's most varied and stunning County. We will visit Turnberry, stop at the iconic lighthouse and also see the castle ruins of the home of Robert the Bruce the legendary King of Scots. We will also visit Turnberry clubhouse where you can re live the 1977 Golf classic "The duel in the sun" between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. Enjoy a coffee or wee dram at the clubhouse or the lighthouse where the back drop of Arran and Ailsa Craig will take your breath away. We will drive along the Ayr Coastal route onto "The Electric Brae". This is an optical illusion as the road appears to be going uphill yet it is going downhill. A quick stop at Dunure Castle follows where Outlander was filmed and an "Abbot was Roasted" in 1570. The final stop is Alloway and the birthplace of Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet. We will see his birth place, Alloway Auld Kirk, Brig O Doon and Tam O Shanter himself. A tour of the wonderful Robert Burns museum concludes the trip.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the absolute pleasure of taking a private tour with Brian to Ayrshire and the legendary Turnberry Golf Course, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. From start to finish, Brian was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and beauty of Scotland. He tailored the tour perfectly to our interests, blending fascinating stories of Ayrshire with an unforgettable visit to Turnberry. His insights about the local culture, golf history, and hidden gems made the day so much more meaningful than we could have ever experienced on our own. Beyond being a fantastic guide, Brian was warm, personable, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the day. It truly felt like we were traveling with a friend who wanted us to love his country as much as he does. If you’re considering a private tour in Scotland, we highly recommend Brian.

Brian is an excellent tour guide. Very easy going and attentive to the needs of his customers. He showed us a wonderful day as we experienced the Scottish countryside. I highly recommend Brian as a tour guide.

Brian is a Scottish treasure! We booked a tour for my family of four (boys 17 & 22) which had to be changed last minute due to weather. The alternative tour was absolutely wonderful. We learned so much about Robert Burns, Scottish history, soccer (which entertained my boys) and golf (he’s an avid player with lots of stories). We highly recommend booking Brian for a group tour!
