Hello, my name is Iain and I'm here to help make your visit to Scotland memorable. A proud Scotsman I have a keen interest in my nations History and Culture. I have a BA degree . Major in Scots History and I have been involved in the Scottish Whisky and Golf industry most of my business career. So all bases are covered. Allow me to be your host for at least some of your time in what many consider to be the most beautiful country in the world. Whether you choose to sit back and relax as I drive you around our towns, cities and places of interest or accompany me on a city walking tour, I will do my utmost to give you an enjoyable experience. I've been sharing my love of Scotland with visitors from all parts of the world since 2018. It's a job I love and suits my outgoing, friendly personality. I'll share my knowledge of all things Scots in an entertaining, educational manner. My tours are varied in their contents and I am always open to my clients suggestions and requests. So if there's anything on your Scottish bucket list that I can help you fulfill please ask. My vehicle is a Ford Edge. A spacious SUV. It is spacious , bright and has good visibility. Iain was a fabulous guide. He worked with us to create a completely individualized tour and we had a wonderful day! Iain regaled us with stories of his own childhood summer holidays on the Isle of Bute and was excited to explore new places of interest with us, too. He was knowledgeable and curious and a perfect guide for our day tour!
Wow what a wonderful day!!! We loved Sterling Castle and had a fantastic time driving around with Iain! He was just loads of fun and we enjoyed talking and laughing the entire time. Highly recommend a tour with him. You won’t be disappointed!
We had a blast on our tour with Iain. He allowed us to adjust the itinerary to suit our needs. Very knowledgeable in local history which added to our tour experience. We would definitely book with him again when we come back to Scotland.
Ian was a wonderful tour guide. He was extremely responsive to all my emails prior our tour. And day of he was a wealth of knowledge, history, stories and energy. Lively, upbeat just delightful. He changed the tour on the spot due to our needs. Added stops once he found out further interests (we mentioned Kelpies so he drove us to Glasgow's giant Kelpies!) Gave us phenomenal hiking suggestions, great restaurant and music venues for the balance of our stay. Wish he were our neighbor! We will return!
Iain was a wonderful guide. He was professional and fun as well. He helped plan the trip and personalize it to our needs from the beginning. This trip was planned and rescheduled over and over because of the pandemic. We are so glad he was able and willing to continue with us all this time! Iain was very personable and flexible. Iain was the perfect gentleman--He showed us some beautiful areas of lovely Scotland, offered great discussion and commentary, and was a lot of fun, too! Thanks so much!
Iain is an AWESOME guide! On time and flexible, he listened and accommodated OUR wishes, and went the extra mile to make sure that my husband got to see the church where his grandmother was baptized. His native knowledge of Glasgow and the surrounding areas gave him insights into family history which meant he could then add info to what we knew. He goes the extra mile for his guests - and is great fun at the same time. If we are lucky enough to come back, we will definitely tour with him again.
Stirling Castle Tour . Approx 1 hour tour . Wallace Monument . Bit of a climb but superb views. Light lunch at Deanston Distillery and see how Single Malt Scottish whisky is made while you're there . Doune Castle. More stories of murder and political infighting. Outlander, Outlaw King . and Monty Python fans may recognise the structure. Leisurely drive through the Trossachs ( little town of Callander for a refreshment ) Return to pick up point .
