Overview of your Edinburgh tour
After all the hustle and bustle of a busy day, Edinburgh's character changes when darkness falls. Enjoy your personal three-hour tour of our Capital City as nighttime takes over from the day. We take a slow drive down the famed Royal Mile. Hear stories of the murderers, geniuses, body-snatchers, witch hunters, firebrand priests, and philosophers. See the eerie site of witch burnings and the castle sitting high above the city on its volcanic rock. I then take you down and into the Grassmarket and up the "Candlemakers Row", see the Greyfriars churchyard and a statue to Greyfriars "Bobby" before heading past the "Birthplace" of Harry Potter. We continue on the High Kirk of St Giles a pre-reformation Cathedral. Further down you'll see the former home of John Knox, the Calvinistic reformer, then it's on to the Canongate Kirk and graveyard, where His Majesty the King worships when in residence in Holyrood Palace. Followed by a traditional dinner at one of our famous pubs.

- See the Castle, dating back to the Iron Age, home of several Monarchs and to the Scottish Crown Jewels & Stone of Destiny. - Take a drive down the Royal Mile, experience ancient Edinburgh and the vibrant and bustling modern cosmopolitan city. - At the bottom of The Royal Mile sits The Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the Monarch which was built in the 16th Century. - Your tour will take you past the Scottish Parliament and round Arthur's Seat and then into the "New Town" to see the difference between the old medieval and "New" Georgian cities. - After your 3 hour tour you are taken to traditional Scottish pub to enjoy a 4 course dinner, 2 Malt whiskies and some traditional Scottish music. - Returned to your accommodation or Cruise ship.
