Half Day Walking Tour of the Old Town with Whisky Tasting

If you enjoy whisky and want to see some of the less touristy areas of Edinburgh, then my private walking tour of the back streets of the Old Town with visits to classic old pubs may be just perfect for you! Starting at the Lawnmarket I will tell you the stories of David Hume, Deacon Brodie, Half Hangit Maggie and many others, as we walk down through some of the haunted and ancient narrow lanes. We will visit wonderful old pubs and have a whisky tasting along the way to try out the whiskies from the five whisky regions of Scotland. We will walk round the old 15th century boundaries of this ancient capital city of Scotland where most visitors never go to! Tales of plague, underground passages and jousting abound. Robert Burns, George Heriot, Charles Darwin, Mary Queen of Scots and Harry Potter are just some of the people I will tell you fantastic stories about - they all have connections to this area and their times here were fascinating.
