Hi, my name is Vanessa, I am a licensed guide from Barcelona. ART HISTORIAN AND LICENSED GUIDE. SKIP THE LINE GUARANTEED AT ALL SITES. I studied Art History at the University of Barcelona (UB), and I coursed the last year of the degree at the University of Parma (Italy), a lovely place where is produced the famous parmigiano cheese! When completed the degree in Italy I came back to Barcelona, but shortly after I decided to move to London (UK) where I lived during a year and a half enjoying a vibrant city full of art ! When I moved back to Barcelona I worked in art galleries and museums, like the National Museum of Art of Catalunya (MNAC), and contemporary art museum CAIXAFORUM. During the year 2006 I passed the exams and I became a Licensed tour guide. Since the first day I love my job! Meeting new people, connecting with them, sharing my passion and enthusiasm for arts. Make the customers fall in love with Barcelona and wish to come back soon is my objective! Even I am specialized in arts, I love to know and let know what's going on in the city ! I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills. Ready for the fresh new restaurants and best places for shopping, but also for the most traditional or authentic places, those ones hidden even for many locals ! I live in the heart of Barcelona. I was born close to the land that inspired Joan Miró (south of Catalonia); and I love to spend many weekends in the Empordà, north of Catalonia, where Salvador Dalí was born. - Official Guide Licence, issued by the Catalan Government. - Bachelor's Degree in Art History, University of Barcelona ( I coursed the last year of the Degree at the University of Parma (Italy) ). - Postgraduate Degree in Communication and Design at Elisava Barcelona. - RASGO Red de Juderías de España (Network of Spanish Jewish quarters), Caminos de Sefarad certification. I don’t have any restriction. I am not a driver and any tour that includes transportation will be provided by a hired driver and vehicle.

The Sagrada Família is a truly exceptional Basilica , the result of the work of genius architect Antoni Gaudí. Today, more than 135 years after the laying of the cornerstone, construction continues on the Basilica. You will know the reasons why is still unfinished and when it will be finished. You will see what's already built and what's still left. While looking at La Sagrada Familia, we begin to see Gaudi's masterpiece for what it really is -- a tribute. It's not simply a building in which to house a worship service, sufficiently ornate to be distinguished as a basilica, but a force of nature. The building seems to be reaching to the heavens, growing and climbing toward a higher understanding. The prolonged time spent in construction gives an added sense of the natural process. To understand and appreciate La Sagrada Familia is to understand Gaudi — devout, deep-thinking and often bold. I suggest to do the tour in the afternoon, from 2 pm, when the sun is at the west side.

My tour of the Sagrada Familia with Vanessa was wonderful. Her communication with me before our tour was excellent. Finding her the morning of the tour was easy through WhatsApp messages and pictures. She expedited our entry process and launched into a good explanation of the highlights of the outside of the different entries to the Basilica. We went inside and Wow! She told us about all the different areas giving us the history of Gaudi and the other artists' work. She was very patient with us as we took in the beauty. She led us through the museum and gave us background and highlights. Vanessa provided a wonderful tour and was exactly what we wanted for our tour of the Sagrada Familia. I highly recommend Vanessa!
I was very looking forward to visit Sagrada Familia and Vanessa made the whole experience truly enjoyable. She provided a great and valuable amount of information that I couldn't wait to tell everybody when I got home. She also recommended what would be the best time to visit the Basilica and it truly made the difference with the interior views. What is more, she is a true sweetheart!
Vanessa was very knowledgeable about the Sagrada Familia and imparted this knowledge to us. She had lots of energy and kept us moving to see so many different aspects of the church. We especially enjoyed her explanations of the symbolism found everywhere on the site.
A visit to the Sagrada Familia was the highlight of our trip to Barcelona! There a bit of a glitch with our initial ticket timing but Vanessa was able to solve it and we had an even better time! She knew so much about the history and all of the beautiful architectural and artistic details of the building. Would highly recommend visiting in the late afternoon as the sun coming through the stained glass window was absolutely stunning.
Vanessa found us among a very crowded tourist area with a smile on her face and an eagerness to show us the Sagrada Familia. She was full of information as she showed us both the inside and outside of the Basilica. It was a great tour.
