My name is Rui and I am a Sao Miguel Island native. I love meeting people from other countries and making their visit to the Azores one they will never forget. Sete Cidades is located in the West part of the island. On this crater you find two twin lakes that are called the Green and the Blue Lakes. At the border of the crater it is possible to make hiking tours with fantastic views over the lakes and village.
Our tour to Sete Cidades was amazing! Our tour guide, Rui< was so welcoming, cheerful, and knowledgeable. He shared his passion for his homeland and made us fall in love with it as well. The countryside was just stunning! All 6 of us were so pleased with the entire experience. HIGHLY recommend Rui as your favorite tour guide!! We can't wait to return!

HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended. Rui (Roy) took my family of 6 (all from New York) on a van tour of the Western side of Sao Miguel Island. It was an excellent tour and Rui is a superb tour guide. He uses a microphone so audibility is no issue whatsoever. Rui's English is excellent (despite what he may say) and he is extremely well-informed about all aspects of life on Sao Miguel. My family asked a wide array of questions and he answered each thoroughly and confidently. A very enjoyable experience indeed!
Had Rui 2 days in a row. Just as FANTASTIC the second day. He made me fall in love with the island as much as he is in love with it!!!!
-Departure from the Hotel in Ponta Delgada in direction to the twin lakes by the mountain road. -Stop at "Vista do Rei" viewpoint to admire the lovely view over the lakes and the village of Sete Cidades. -Return along the West Coast visiting the Pineapple plantations. -Return to Ponta Delgada.
