Overview of your Ponta Delgada tour
Nordeste is located in the Northeast part of the island. It's very visited by it's splendid viewpoints, picnic sites and waterfalls. In Nordeste we find the highest mountain of the island that is called "Pico da Vara" with 1, 105 meters. For birdwatchers is also a fantastic spot as we have there the "Priolo" (Azorean Bullfinch) that is an endemic specie of the island.

If I could leave 10 stars I would! Rui was an excellent ambassador of Ponta Delgado. Very very knowledgeable about LOTS of things. We have been to this port before but everything we saw was different. He took the time to discover what we wanted to see, described what we would see, and even made sure we avoided the fog over the mountain that day. And very conscientious of getting to the ship on time! He was an excellent, excellent guide. We will definitely request him next time we visit Ponta Delgado.

Our day with Rui was wonderful. We had corresponded through various emails prior to the tour and he was very flexible in making sure that we were able to do what was requested in addition to some nice surprises. We are photographers and Rui made sure the emphasis was on that. The pace of the tour was perfect and that comes from the experience and professionalism that Rui offers with his tours. We left Ponta Delgada with lots of great memories, images and a new friend! Rui made the difference in our visit!
