Ricardo was a fantastic guide and driver. Since he has lived almost his entire life on the island, he not only knows the ancient history, but also gave personal stories of growing up and the changes he’s seen. He had all the delicious local stops for tasty treats. I would highly recommend Ricardo! Next time we are visit, we’ll hire him again without a doubt.

Friendly, knowledgeable, very good driver on narrow, windy mountain roads. He gave us choices due to changing weather conditions and created a very pleasant and informative itinerary. The wheelchair-bound family member was accommodated very easily and respectfully. He read us well, matching his discussions with our interest and energy levels. Even a last minute request to visit a pharmacy was easily done. No question, first rate and engage again when we return.

Thanks to Roberto for giving us a wonderful tour of Ponta Delgada. He was informative, warm and friendly and he was a terrific tour guide. He revised our tour and showed us everything we wanted to see and we can not wait to come back to visit this beautiful island. You can be sure, we will book with Roberto again.

We had a delightful day with Ricardo! He picked us up in a nice new van which was comfortable for the 6 of us. His English was great. We highly recommend him. What was neat about doing a "tour by locals" is that Ricardo grew up in the area and had personal knowledge of the places he took us to. (He even reminisced with us how he and his friends used to "play" in the Botanical Gardens.) Ricardo's vast knowledge of the history of the island gave us a real feel for what it's like to live there!

Ricardo is a wonderful guide. He picked us up at the cruise terminal and transported us around the island in a nice new van. His English language skills are good, no issues. Knowledge of the island was great. He took us to the normal tourist stops, but also some off the beaten path points of interest. The island is beautiful, we would like to come back and visit again. If you are visiting Sao Miguel Island, book a tour from Ricardo.

The tour wa everything I had hoped for. He was very knowledgeable about the Azores and changed his tour to accomodate my interests. I was especially interested in the Botanical Gardens which he took me around. I highly recommend him and If I return to the Azores on holiday I will. book him for my entire stay.
