My name is Rui and I am a Sao Miguel Island native. I love meeting people from other countries and making their visit to the Azores one they will never forget. The Furnas Valley is very known by it's volcanic activity. You can find there bubbling fumaroles of mud and water, 22 thermal springs waters all with different tastes and the smell of sulphur doesn't let you forget you are inside a volcano crater. In Furnas there is a Botanical Garden with almost 2500 trees in 30 acres and a natural hot water thermal swimming pool.
Rui was the perfect guide for our day trip to Azores. He was able to accommodate 6 of us last minute, picked and dropped us off door side to the cruise terminal. Super friendly, great with the kids, a wealth of knowledge and personalized our trip showing us so much of what Azores is famous for. Touring the pineapple and tea plantation, furnas, local meal and beautiful sights for pictures. Highly recommended Rui for private tours. Thank you for making it our favorite trip!
