Sete Cidades Half Day Tour

We had a fabulous time thanks to our great tour guide, Rui M. He made sure we were comfortable and was a perfect gentleman. His knowledge of the area was fabulous! We would not hesitate to recommend him to other travelers. He was the best tour guide we have ever had. Thank you Rui for showing us your beautiful city!

Rui was a first rate guide, from booking to farewell. He advised on the best experience, kept in touch as the date neared, and met us outside the cruise port when the docking was changed at short notice. His English was excellent and the car immaculate. He gave a detailed commentary throughout the tour, advising on adjustments because of the weather and other tourists/vehicles. We saw the Sete Cidides as best we could due to the mist and he took us to a local cafe to refresh ourselves. He was always helpful and considerate when assisting my wheelchair bound wife. To cap it all, he gave us excellent advice on seeking out a traditional restaurant for later. This was a memorable tour and an excellent way to see the highlights of Ponta Delgada and its hinterland.

Rui was the best guide on our first visit to the Azores! He adjusted our tour based on our cruise arrival time. His communication was excellent about our meeting place inside the terminal. We had a wonderful time on our Sete Cidades half day tour. It’s obvious Rui loves what he does and really wanted to make sure we enjoyed the tour. He’s very knowledgeable about the island and we enjoyed getting to know a little bit about Sao Miguel.

Rui was a fantastic guide for us to see Ponta Delgada! Our ship arrived late to port and I was able to communicate with Rui to let him know, and it was no problem at all. With Rui, we were able to see sites not available to us with ship excursions. Rui was incredibly knowledgeable about Ponta Delgada and the Azores in general, and taught us both the geography and the history of the Azores. We were amazed at the natural beauty of Ponta Delgada and Rui was able to tell us about that as well.

This was an excellent tour and Rui was a fantastic guide. Our ship was delayed getting into port, but Rui adjusted our pick up time with no issues. He gave us a private tour that took us to see Sete Cidades from various locations (including in the town) plus a handful of other sites along the coast and in Punta Delgada. My wife and I loved it. Highly recommmend!
