Olá! My name is Bruno, I'm 41. I was born in Sintra, the most beautiful town in Portugal! As biased as I may sound, I grew up with my grandparents in the countryside. They were very passionate people from the North of Portugal and always showed me how beautiful it is when you let yourself go and fall in love with the place you live. Growing up with my grandparents, who used to sell bread door to door on a bike, interacting with people daily was in their DNA. By tagging along with them and doing simple things like going to a local food market, I was always amazed at how they interacted with everyone, from vendors to friends. I feel that was the spark I needed to thoroughly enjoy being with people and having this impending need to socialize and be in touch with the human side of everyone that I meet. I do love the history, sights, and culture of my beautiful country, but I feel like connecting with people on a more human level is what brings me joy as a tour guide. With that in mind, I decided to accept the challenge of being part of ToursByLocals. We will not only discover the vast history of Portugal but also visit places that hold a special place in my heart, filled with fond memories from my younger days when my grandparents used to take me there. This is something I believe I can best achieve through private tours, which is why I chose to partner with ToursByLocals—a place I consider 'by people, for people. ' It's a pleasure to be part of such a great community, and as one of my favorite quotes states: 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Bruno was a fantastic Tour guide and made our trip really memorable. He is so knowledgeable and we learned a lot of interesting facts about the area and its history. I was underway with my elderly parents and Bruno was very kind helping them in and out of the vehicle and ensuring he stopped where it was easy for my parents to walk. We had the most fantastic day.
Bruno S. our tour guide for Lisbon was excellent in all aspects. He provides great communication and quick to respond to messages. His instructions for pick up was perfect and he was even a bit early which is great. His knowledge of the area is top notch as he was born & raised in Sintra. We had a great time touring the area and he provided lots of tips along the ride. He made us feel like kings and queens on his tour of the area. Thank you again for the tasty treats which was a very nice touch. Look forward to booking with you in the future when we are back in Portugal.
Bruno is awesome! If you can get him book him! We had a tremendous time with him through Lisbon. I was lucky enough to find him through my trusted friend who also worked with him. We had quite the varied group. myself and my husband as well as his 85 year old mother and my 16 year old son! Bruno kept us all thoroughly engaged and happy. We had a whirlwind tour of Lisbon per my request. He kept my Mother in law happy though it was not her most joyful day and she was tired, he kept my 16 year old engaged and was a ton of fun especially to discuss Portugese history and favorite books and podcasts with me as we drove from area to area. The Pasteis de Belem he took us to turned out to be very best in Portugal hands down and a memorable experience. We saw the highlights, were entertained and felt very comfortable throughout. Cannot recommend him enough. Thank you Bruno!
