Overview of your Lisbon tour
Close to the River and Sea, in a close relation with them, Lisbon History starts in the hill where today you can see the Castle of S. Jorge. A modern city with heritage from the Romans' period, Islamic occupation or medieval age. A city where an earthquake in 1755 and the following period contributed to shape of the streets that you can walk today. The XIX and the XX century reveal new directions, new architecture and lifestyles. This full and fun day includes the History but also the best Local Cafés, Pastry Shops, the Shopping districts, the Artistic districts and the Hidden gems. We will walk the local pavements that will take us to visit surprising places, enjoy the typical beverages and food, the most beautiful sunset locations and the bohemian life. The diversity, the beauty of the scenario, the amount of interesting places that can be revealed with a guided visit in lisbon justify to book, at least, one fun day experience with me. No extra tickets/paid entrances required and no time waiting in queues!
Your Lisbon tour itinerary
It possible to walk all over the historical center of Lisbon in 1 day. Regarding the famous hills, with some local knowledge, strategic stops for rest, food and drinks and a custom tour design I will make this experience smoth and fun! Starting in Alfama or Mouraria , walking through/near the Castelo area (but not visiting the castle inside!) to discover Lisbon's oldest neighborhoods, houses and traditions. We will walk then to the the XVIII century, visit Praça do Comércio and Baixa - where we can have a stop for food, drinks and more conversations about Life, Travels, Lisbon, Life in Lisbon… After a portuguese "cafezinho" we will be ready to walk to the central square of Rossio, see the Restauradores square and Avenida da Liberdade. We will still discover the famous Chiado and Bairro Alto neighborhoods before arriving at Principe Real. Note: Visit/Tickets to the Castle are not included. If You would like to visit the Castle of S. Jorge on your own I can adjust the tour to finish at the Castle entrance.
