Hello, and welcome to Madeira! The Paradise Island, that I am lucky to call home. My name is Vitor, born and raised in Madeira. I lived most of my life in the island, and also spent a few years in the UK. I love travelling and discover new places, but the love for my home land has always pulled me back here, where I feel I truly belong! I am a husband of an amazing woman and father of three gorgeous kids! I love spending my time outdoors and I have a passion for vintage cars and classic jeeps. I have discovered Madeira's hidden gems, as well as it's commonly visited places. Driving my classic jeeps I am confident using quiet and narrow off roads, and introduce you to the history and flora of the island as well as the agriculture and local way of living. And last but not least, I know just where they make the best traditional Poncha in the Island! I have nearly 15 years of experience as a jeep tour guide, but I like to make every day count! I am responsible and flexible at the same time, and I will always do my best for you to have an experience that you will cherish! I am offering full day jeep tours to both side of the island as well as half day introduction of different areas of Madeira. Overview of your Funchal tour
Come and join the Adventure with me! This is an excellent opportunity for you to discover views you might have only seen in movies, valleys and mountains, that could not be any more perfect! And to make all this available to you, we will travel safe but super fun off roads! After our introduction we will be heading to Camara de Lobos using the old fashioned side roads to visit this amazing fisher man's village. Then back to the Jeep, and to the Boca dos Namorados to take a look at the Nun's Valley! Why is it called the Nun's Valley? Well, I will tell you all about it when we get there! Ready for Madeira wine tasting now ? 4 different wines to taste . That's where we are heading next! :) let's gooooo. After this stop we are due a bumpy fun off road and it will feel amazing having a traditional poncha at the bar on the way! And that's not all! There is Cabo Girao! One of the highest glass platform in the world built on a cliff! An absolutely amazing adventure! Yours could be customized to your needs.
Your Funchal tour itinerary
This tour will take 6 hours including pick up and drop off from and to your accommodation. Upon arrival we will have a short introduction and I will go through the plan of the day with you, to make sure it is customized to your interests as best as possible! During our tour I will take you to many different view points to the valleys and ocean and I will introduce the local flora and history! We will drive on narrow and off roads and have lots of fun!
