He went above and beyond to cater for her age and fitness levels, and shared so much warmth and character - we both felt like we were spending the day with an old friend. Thank you Vitor for a lovely tour of your home Island of Maderia! Also, thank you for being so flexible. Our ship arrive late and scheduled to leave early, and Vitor just rolled with the punches. He gave up dinner with his family to show us the entire island, 1/2 of which was after sunset! He got us back to the ship just before the "all aboard" call. Vitor knows Madeira. He knows every site, alley, and scenic viewpoint. In 4 short hours, we saw more of Madeira than we thought possible. Book your visit to Madeira with Vitor with confidence. Don't waste your money on a ship's excursion. They cannot possibly compete with Vitor and his trusty 4x4.

Vitor is a fantastic guide with perfect English and a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the island from all angles, current climate, and every plant variety you will pass! He extended our trip to accommodate a lunch stop, which was delicious, a levada walk, and a visit to a miradouro on the other side of the island. He is gracious and accommodating in every way. My 10 year old son had a blast standing up in the 80's Portuguese Jeep we were riding in on the off-road, which were quite tame and Vitor drove extremely carefully, which was important for my nervous wife. There are no seatbelts in the back of the Jeep, which had her on edge, but due to the cautiousness of Vitor she was ok. I would highly recommend Vitor for any adventure on the island in a Jeep or hiking! He knows it all and you will certainly lean more than you think you could.

We had the best time with Vitor on our tour! Vitor is an excellent tour guide who truly loves the island. He has so much knowledge of the history, fauna and local hidden gems. He took us out on a four wheeling adventure on that we will never forget! Our kids loved riding in the open jeep and seeing the beautiful island from that viewpoint. The stops to have Poncha, snacks and a Prego were spot on and did not want the day to end. I would highly recommend spending time Vitor on any tour in Madeira!

Vitor is simply the best tour guide! I would give him a 100 star review if that was an option. He's generous, kind, fun, knowledgeable and a great driver! My husband and I rented a car for the island but decided we should hire a guide and it was very much worth it. I would recommend Vitor versus a group tour anytime. You get personal service and get to see so much and learn about the island from someone who truly cares about your experience. He's the real deal and I highly recommend him!
