My tour guide and local expert Valdemar Andrade was incredible. We spent two full days with him. One day on the west side of Maderia, and one day on the east side. He spoke very good English, and was able to tailor our tour based on our profile and our desires. He made recommendations to use our time effectively and get the most of the day. His knowledge of the island is just incredible. From it's history, to it's culture, to it's food, wine, vegetation, farming techniques, the "sea", the beaches, and he knew exactly where to be and when to avoid crowds and the large buses. Everything went seamlessly due to his attention to the details, while still being flexible based on our growing interests. The sights and sounds of the island were just incredible. What an amazing tour. Valdemar was an excellent tour guide and took us to places you could not get to on a regular cruise ship tour. He was engaging and humorous. He had great information about the island and was very accommodating We highly recommend booking a tour with him.

My husband and I really loved our tour with Valdemar. Besides being very knowledgeable, he had a good sense of humor and was very fun to be with. This full day tour with Valdemar was enjoyable from start to finish. Although the weather did not allow us to complete some of the planned activities Valdemar substituted others and we carried on.
