This beautiful trail begins in the highlands of the biggest Madeira plateau, where also we have the biggest resort of pure water. We have parts where the path is open, offering hikers the opportunity to appreciate the grandeur and magnificence of a set of beautiful landscapes. Other parts of the trail are closed and covered up by the magnificent and lush vegetation of Laurissilva's forest, delighting visitors with its freshness and abundance. After that, a unique journey starts where the hiker travels side by side with the levada, surrounded by the lush vegetation, although the centenary thees stands out in many areas like Guardians of the rain forest. In a corner, away of the normal trail, lies one of the best shinning waterfalls from all the island, forming a pond of pure and crystal water, on an area shined by the sun. - Pick up everywhere in Madeira Island - 45 minutes drive to the place for walking, with stops in panoramic viewpoints to admire the beauty of the island. - Its two options to do the walk thru the true magic nature of Madeira and its unique ecosystem: * half day walk with 2-4 hours of walking, with 7 km walk (more relaxed to appreciate the nature around) * full day walk with 4-5 hours of walking, with 16 km walk - restaurant with local food and drinks and/or for a beach to refresh ourselves. - visit additional sightseeing in the way back - Return to any place surrounding Madeira Island The tour can be customised according to your preferences, please inquire
