Welcome to my Profile!! My name is Miguel a local guide raise and born on this heavenly island we call Madeira! I like free diving and playing pool in my free time :) Since 2010 I am "working" in tourism as a tour guide, my expertise is in taking tours in 4X4 vehicles , I must say I had one of the best teachers in the business (40 years of experience) who worked in Africa and in Europe. Overview of your Funchal tour
Would like to enjoy a day pairing excellent wine with unique views? Then this is the tour for you to enjoy both! We start from Funchal in our 4x4 which I personally love, after picking you up we will start the way up to the mountains, through some narrow and step road. We make a stop at 1200 m altitude to see Nuns Valley from a very nice view point, where we can admire the magnificent village from the top. This is one of my favourite places in the island, very beautiful and breathtaking. After that we will make a stop on a local bar, where you can try the traditional drinks (Madeira wine 2003) and cake (Madeira honey cake), new flavours not to be missed in the island. These stop is relaxed we go in our pace no stress here! Carry on to across the cherries and apples trees trough the Eucalyptus forest. Finally, we will visit the highest sea cliff in Europe with 580m Alt. A view not to be missed, you will be able to take amazing picture and walk on a glass floor and look down 580m under your feet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Miguel, who provided a comprehensive and informative overview of this beautiful island. From Funchal to the mountain tops, we observed the various micro climates and abundant flora that exists at different elevations. Miguel is a terrific guide, who provided an excellent narrative to match the stunning scenery of Madeira. We very much enjoyed the included Madeira wine and cake, which gave us the opportunity to mingle and observe the “locals”. An excellent tour - you will not be disappointed!

Miguel showed us a Madeira that tour buses never see - the back roads in the Mountains. It was amazing all of the miniclimates that exist on a relatively small island. His knowledge of land use and the basis of the agricultural economy was impressive.
