Ready to see the island from a new perspective? We will start in Funchal and drive to the best two sightseeing spots above the city. Going up, in direction to the third highest point of Madeira Island, we will enjoy drinking and tasting traditional handmade products, you will be able to discover new flavours while admiring a perfect 360 degrees view around the highest peaks of the island. We can also make a light walk to feel more deep all the nature of this Paradise, above the clouds. Descending we will encounter with the Madeira forest and we will enjoy a light walk of 3 km, all flat, to discover how all the ecosystem works in this beautiful forest. After all this nature, we will give a rest to all those marvellous views and we go for a local restaurant to try and experience fresh local food and drinks, more flavours to discover. With me you will be able to know the history and secrets hidden from the eyes of foreigners. On our way back, we will stop in some more sightseeing spots, perfect for pictures!
Carlos is a wonderful guide! We were above the clouds, then more amazing views one after another, plus a wonderful lavada walk. All in 1/2 day! In between, I learned a lot about life in Madeira. Definitely recommend. It’s like spending time with a good friend.
Carlos was great. He picked us up from our accommodations to visit the places we booked during our tour. We were blessed with great weather and so we had an awesome time during our visit in Madeira. Carlos was very polite and he answered all the questions we had. Carlos even took us some additional places that we inquired about, even when said places were not part of the booked tour. I would recommend Carlos and would book him again!
Carlos was very flexible and accommodating from the start with us changing the day tour to Dragons Tail. We took this tour as our cruise ship ported in Funchal. We only had runners since we didn't want to pack hiking boots. Mistake! Terrain is rocky and was hard on ankles. My wife had a hard time and Carlos was very attentive and ensured her safety. I would recommend Carlos' tours and would use again in future visits.
It was a rainy day but Carlos adapted our tour to provide us a wonderful day in Funchal. We had a lovely day. The 6 of us would highly recommend him to guide you around this beautiful Island.

In the Private Tour we are going to use a gray Citroen C4, with 5 seats or Toyota Avensis Verso with 7 seats or Volkswagen Transporter with 9 seats. You can request any of them, if available. All are very comfortable. If you want a better car, I'm able to get a larger passenger van for groups above five people. Just contact me for details and a quote.
