Overview of your Funchal tour
This tour has the aim to present the other face of Madeira island: the north side. The nature and weather are very active, rough and wild, compared with the south. The nature is more green, beautiful and alive with several waterfalls along the coast. Its people are even more humble, kind and generous with very old traditions and slow motion life style. We are driving along the sea coast with vertical green cliffs and blue & esmerald waves crashing on the shore, bringing the fresh salty air into your face. With my you will be able to get the hidden and magic spots, even unknown by locals. If the conditions permit, we could even pass by the Ancient Forest with its centenary trees, some with 800 yrs old, just to allow you to feel the fresh pure air entering your lungs and healing you from inside! Here, in the North, you will feel young again!

We had an amazing tour with Carlos on the less seen, dramatic north side of Madeira. This is the focus of Carlos’ tour and it is breathtaking. We traveled on old narrow roads which buses cannot navigate and were rewarded with unspoiled nature, hiking trails and vistas reminiscent of Switzerland . Carlos was born on Madera and is fluent in his explanations of history and local customs. As a bonus, we had a wonderful lunch of local dishes recommended by Carlos and even had a chance to taste the famous Madera “green“ wine which was delicious. Carlos is a fantastic guide, who will provide you with a memorable experience.

In the Private Tour we are going to use a gray Citroen C4, with 5 seats or Toyota Avensis Verso with 7 seats. Both are very comfortable, clean and air conditioned. If you want a better car, I'm able to get a larger passenger van for groups above five people. Just contact me for details and a quote.
