Hello, and welcome to Madeira! The Paradise Island, that I am lucky to call home. My name is Vitor, born and raised in Madeira. I lived most of my life in the island, and also spent a few years in the UK. I love travelling and discover new places, but the love for my home land has always pulled me back here, where I feel I truly belong! I am a husband of an amazing woman and father of three gorgeous kids! I love spending my time outdoors and I have a passion for vintage cars and classic jeeps. I have discovered Madeira's hidden gems, as well as it's commonly visited places. Driving my classic jeeps I am confident using quiet and narrow off roads, and introduce you to the history and flora of the island as well as the agriculture and local way of living. And last but not least, I know just where they make the best traditional Poncha in the Island! I have nearly 15 years of experience as a jeep tour guide, but I like to make every day count! I am responsible and flexible at the same time, and I will always do my best for you to have an experience that you will cherish! I am offering full day jeep tours to both side of the island as well as half day introduction of different areas of Madeira. Overview of your Funchal tour
Come and join the East Adventure with me! This is an excellent opportunity for you to discover views you might have only seen in movies, valleys and mountains, that could not be any more perfect! And to make all this available to you, we will travel safe but super fun off roads! After our introduction we will be heading to Camara de Lobos using the old fashioned side roads to visit this amazing fisher man's village. An amazing opportunity to take some photos to remember, enjoy the wonderful views or even spot the locals playing a card game! Then back to the Jeep, and to the Boca dos Namorados to take a look at the Nun's Valley! Why is it called the Nun's Valley? Well, I will tell you all about it when we get there! After this stop we are due a bumpy fun off road and it will feel amazing having a traditional poncha at the bar on the way! And that's not all! There is Cabo Girao! One of the highest glass platform in the world built on a cliff! This trip is not one to miss! An absolutely amazing adventure!

Our half day with Vitor was great. He showed us some of the highlights of his city, took us to some popular spots, but mainly showed us the real Funchal. The steep hills, narrow streets, the hillside homes with their gardens was a highlight. He stopped and showed us different plants and flowers, which really made it interesting. This was a great way to see Funchal with limited time. Both my husband and I thorough enjoyed the tour and Vitor himself.

We really enjoyed our Jeep Tour with Vitor. The Jeep itself is an open top old army vehicle complete with a siren! We sat on benches jand had brilliant views all around us. The island is stunning and it was great to get out and about, particularly as unlike the standard jeep tours that are available, we were able to get properly off road. We learned a lot about the island, the flora, fauna and the dangers of poncha!! Vitor himself was a top guy - book him before he gets booked up!
Your Funchal tour itinerary
This tour will take 4 hours including pick up and drop off from and to your accommodation. Upon arrival we will have a short introduction and I will go through the plan of the day with you, to make sure it is customized to your interests as best as possible! Also comfortable minibus could be arranged. During our tour I will take you to many different view points to the valleys and ocean and I will introduce the local flora and history! We will drive on narrow and off roads and have lots of fun! Stops during this tour are: - Camara de Lobos (We will visit the beautiful fishing village of Madeira) - Jardim da Serra , the Nun's Valley (Amazing mountain views with an amazing history) - Cabo Girao (Visit one of the highest glass platforms of the world with unforgettable views )
