Hello there, I'm Cláudio, a certified mountain guide born and raised in the beautiful island of Madeira. As a true local, I have a deep love and passion for the mountains and natural beauty of my island, and I would love to share my knowledge and expertise with you. In short, Claudio is amazing. He tailored the tour to our particular interests and kept it at a leisurely pace while still keeping everything on schedule. He is very personable and knowledgeable about the island and its history in the greater context of the world. We greatly enjoyed our tour with him , and highly recommend him to everyone. Plus the dinner was great.
We had an excellent tour with Claudio. Sadly, the weather was not on our side and we could not see the sunset as planned. However, Claudio modified the itinerary to take us to Nun's Valley instead, where the views were great. We then ate a traditional Madeiran meal at a local restaurant. Claudio was a great host - charming, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
This tour was amazing! Cláudio is a great and knowledgeable guide who discussed (in French, English as well as Spanish for my girlfriend and me!!!) many subjects during the tour, very informative! The hiking part was beautiful, a great start for our stay in Madeira. And what about a wonderful and typical Portuguese meal at the end of the hike that included Estepada, and a good deal of local Poncha! I highly recommend this tour with Cláudio.
Claudio was excellent. He provided me with an anazing experience and adjusted the tour to accomodate what I was looking to do. The spots for sunset and food were amazing and had the local feel to it that shared tours just cant provide. If you are looking for an amazing experience in Madeira Claudio is the man to show you. I highly recommend to everyone.
Our Guide Claudio exceeded expectations. He brought us to the most beautiful places of Madeira and was super enthusiastic about it. His enthusiasm was contagious. I would definitely recommend him for a tour. It was great fun and we got some fantastic pictures and had delicious local food.
This was a beautiful way to spend my last evening in Madeira and with great company, having Claudio as a guide. The views at the stops he selected were incredible and best of all- not crowded! He was able to improvise and find a place that would give me the best view of the sun setting over the ocean when the original location wasn't going to work out. After the sunset, the restaurant he selected after I gave my meal choice was excellent. I definitely recommend this tour with Claudio!
Pickup at 18:00 heading to the west part of the island of Madeira, where we will see a sunset over the sea, but first pass by some of the viewpoints with the best views on our island, enjoy the cliffs, the villages at the base of the cliffs by the sea. We will end in Jardim do Mar, a small village where the sunset is memorable and will be one of the memories that you will carry in your camera and especially in your head. For dinner we will have several options which will be presented on the day in order to decide which option to choose. Dinner around 21:00 after sunset, and back to Funchal at 22:30 (summer-time)
