Hello there, I'm Cláudio, a certified mountain guide born and raised in the beautiful island of Madeira. As a true local, I have a deep love and passion for the mountains and natural beauty of my island, and I would love to share my knowledge and expertise with you. My goal as a guide is to create a memorable experience for visitors who come to Madeira seeking adventure and stunning views. I specialize in hiking tours, where I take you on some of the most breathtaking trails that the island has to offer. As a fan of the local cuisine, I like to incorporate some of the island's delicious foods into my tours. You can expect to taste traditional Madeiran snacks such as bolo do caco (our local bread) and queijadas (small sweet cakes), as well as indulge in local dishes like espetada (grilled meat skewers), and fresh seafood such as espada (black scabbardfish), which is a Madeiran specialty. I've been working as a guide since 2019, but my passion for hiking started long before that. I have been exploring the mountains of Madeira since I was a child, and I know the island's terrain like the back of my hand. My goal is to show you the most interesting and stunning sights while ensuring your safety at all times. With a degree in biology, health, and environment, I have a deep understanding and appreciation for the natural beauty of the island.
