Welcome to Paradise Island! My name is Ricardo! I'm a Madeira Island born and raised, in heart and blood, father of 2 beautiful kids! Worked in many things differently in my long 40+ years of life, and lived also in other parts of the world, but all that to make sure that this island is were I belong, and showing my place, the job is I love to do! Being in the tourism industry for a very long time, more than 20 years, made me acquire experience, but mostly provided me with the opportunity to know amazing people every day, and make many good friends! If you are looking for a local, to show you Madeira's best sights, the most known ones, or the less known in a relaxed funny and informal way, in my Jeep in which I have been very happy within the last 20 years. That's about the time I do Offroad as one of my favorite hobbies. My goal is to talk with you about my culture and the way I was brought up on this island, the difference between now and then and spend a good day together, eating, drinking and sightseeing (I don't drink alcohol while I work, but it would be available for you). Any of my tours can be customized and altered to your needs, and my car is registered in an official tour company so I can pick up inside the port or any hotel in the island for your commodity. Overview of your Funchal tour
This is without a doubt one of my favorite places, taken on a part of the island which is not on the mainstream visitor list. We will cross through beautiful fishing villages and also amazing mountains and the clear blue sea and green nature contrast with all the small fishing towns, like a painting lost in time which we will make part off. Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, know by many surfers as the Hawaii of Europe will show us why they have that reputation when exploring these areas, see the wild beaches who got their fame of, and shaped down all the agricultural fields of banana especially all the way to Calheta and Ponta do sol! Madeira's southwestern part is different from all the rest - a very relaxed ride specially designed for who want to see a bit more of our island. Yours could be customized to your needs.

Ricardo is a wonderful guide! He gives you a personalized experience and shared local Places and cuisine that you could not get on a shared or public tour. Great full-day tour! Ricardo is super knowledgeable about the island and was able to answer all our questions - from agriculture, to history, to food! We wanted to see as many different sights on the island and he delivered. We saw mountains, waterfalls, beaches, volcanic pools, villages, and off-road forests! He took us to spots that avoided the crowds and were just as beautiful if not more because we were the only ones there. This was a great way to see the island and would highly recommend.
Your Funchal tour itinerary
We will leave from Funchal in the morning and going through the southwest part of the island will cruise through Ribeira Brava and Ponta do sol on the way to Fajã da Ovelha. Once we descend from Fajã da Ovelha, we will go to Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, very beautiful small fishing villages were we can go for lunch just before taking our way back from the cost to Calheta and Ponta do sol in our way to Funchal. If you haven't visited yet also Cabo girão and wish to include it on the day it will be also possible, just let me know. The itinerary can be customised according to your preferences, please inquire
