I use my expertise and experince to design all the tours to be real "tours by a local". Every single one of them is slightly different from the standard offer of tours in Krakow. I will be thrilled to show you the "must-sees", recommend the "must-dos", and take you off the beaten track to mingle with the locals in Krakow and its surroundings. Please, take a look at the itineraries that I offer here for you, and if there is anything that you would like to change or add to them, just message me with a request for a customized tour. Then anything can be done! I am also happy to take you to towns and villages which are not listed here. I will be looking forward to your message. If you would like to get to know me a little better, here is a bit of background information: I was born in 1989, just two months after the first democratic election in Poland. My attitude towards my country was shaped by my family: the grandparents, all of whom still had the trauma and vivid memories of World War II, and my parents, who spent their 20s watching the long-awaited fall of communism. This background is the reason for my fascination with the 20th century history. It makes me extremely proud that after 30 years of struggle to "catch up with the West" Poland is gaining so much recognition from world travelers and I feel privileged to get to share with you the amazing history and culture of my country! For my education, I chose two faculties: Tourism and English Language & Culture. Now, after 11 years of working as a city guide and tour leader, I believe this was a perfect combination which helped me provide first-class service to my guests. My energy, sunny disposition, and fascination with Krakow are contagious and will make your visit here worthwhile never mind the weather or time of day! Krakow City Guide State Licence, Ceritfied Guide in Schindler's Factory Museum, Wawel Royal Castle Exhibitions, Rynek Underground, MA in Tourism, BA in English Language and Culture, Transportation License, Tour Leader State License "The Alphabet of Jewish Culture" training by Mifgash Foundation in Krakow Member of the Federation of Tourist Guide Associations in Krakow Driver's Licence since 2008

Overview of your Krakow tour

Kazimierz is often described as a "former" or "historic" Jewish quarter, but the Jewish revival is more and more noticeable. It is here that at one moment we stand next to an original gravestone of a 15th century rabbi, and, then, right behind the cemetery wall, we can eat kosher falafel in a modern kind of eatery. The old buildings of synagogues, prayer houses, townhouses. . . . There is no better surrounding to learn about the Jewish culture and the restrictions, rituals and traditions which dictate almost all aspects of everyday life of religious people. Thanks to the fact that today Kazimierz has the most active Jewish community in Poland, we can also find out how the biblical traditions are continued in the 21 century.

Your Krakow tour itinerary

I will pick you up at your hotel lobby (or other place that you choose) and we will drive to the old part of Kazimierz. The highlights of our tour: - We will visit a synagogue and an old Jewish cemetary to learn about the most interesting aspects of Jewish religious life. - A walk through Szeroka Street will take us back to the times when the Jewish culture was flourishing in Krakow. - When passing old buildings, we will look for details which remind us of their Jewish origins. Why not go inside some of them to see how the old tradition is exposed right now? - Walking into 'the square of a hundred bars' we will talk about what happened with the Jewish quarter when World War 2 ended and how the movie "Schindler's List" helped to save this place. - We will visit a kosher shop and/or a café popular among young Jews in the city to experience the Jewish life in Kazimierz. After this gradual return to the 21st century we will get back to the car and finish the tour at whatever place is convenient for you.
