Tokyo Highlights-East, Tsukiji, Ginza, Asakusa

Yuko took our family of 4 (including 2 teenage boys) on a tour of Tokyo two days in a row. We did the west side one day and the east side the next. She was fantastic and we felt like we had the best possible guide. She navigated us through both busy areas and less touristy areas and we had a great time and saw so much in two days. The fish market was the best- definitely the best sushi we’ve ever had. She took us to her favorite stalls and we never felt rushed despite fitting so much in. We walked a ton so my boys who are runners and soccer players were completely exhausted by the end of each day. Yuko also helped us purchase our bullet train ticket to Kyoto, and brought us hand written directions so we could navigate that trip through the subway system. She also gave us a wonderful dinner restaurant suggestion that we wouldn’t have found on our own. Thank you Yuko for everything!

It was an absolute delight to spend two days with Yuko. She kept five of us hopping all over Tokyo, at a pace we set. From Shrines, Temples, Fish Markets, and multiple districts of the city we saw so much and learned our way around. Yuko selected lovely authentic Japanese restaurants for us, both with delicious food. She knows a great deal about Tokyo and the areas we toured, which increased our appreciation of the sites we visited. I know we would all tour with Yuko again.

Yuko provided us with a wonderful day, exploring Tokyo and learning about its history and present-day life. Her knowledge -- and her ability to communicate -- are first-rate. She is efficient, helpful, and insightful! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. The experience reinforced our confidence in the Tours by Locals program.

We could not have been more satisfied with our experience We learned the transportation system, we saw all the sites we had asked for and experience the tea ceremony Yuko was knowledgeable about the area and history of many of the traditions.

I arranged a full day tour with Yuko. She was an excellent guide and we chose the sights we wanted to see and she planned an excellent itinerary. She was able to reserve a car and driver so that our day in Tokyo definitely met and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Yuko !
