Hi there! My name is Hiro, I am here to help you make the best memories in Japan. I love art, culture, history and food. I'm a Tokyo local, but whenever I have free time, I always roam around Tokyo looking for something interesting or something new. I worked for a Japanese financial institution for over 35 years, and was in charge of global alternative investments such as private equities and real estate investments. I have worked with various kinds of people from all over the world. I always enjoy spending time with them. Around three decades ago, I visited Australia for the first time. At that time, I didn't know much about Sidney, Australia, but a guide showed me around the town. She took me to many interesting and exciting spots and explained its culture and histories. She made my trip extremely special. It was long time ago, but I still remember her name, face and what she did for me clearly. She became part of my great memories of that trip. That's why I decided to be a guide. I got the National Government License for Guide Interpreter in 2017. Then I started to work as a guide interpreter. I joined a team of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Game's official volunteers and was in charge of volleyball games. I helped many athletes in the game venue. I paid a lot of attention to providing support for them, especially because they tended to get nervous before their important matches. This opportunity was a great learning experience about how to support people from other countries. Unfortunately there were no spectators at all due to the Covid-19.
