Greetings! Tokyo is a vibrant megacity, and I'd be happy to help you explore and create your own unique experience. Are you fascinated by Japanese culture and history? I'd love to take you on a tour, tailored to your interests, and share my own experiences and unique perspective, as well as those of my growing family. Whether you seek out the well-known attractions or the hidden gems off the beaten path, together we can create something truly special for you. I've been a tour guide since 2018 and am confident in my ability to adapt to your needs. Tokyo has so much to offer, from traditional to modern cuisine, world-renowned whisky and sake, coffee culture, and more, all with hidden surprises waiting to be discovered. I first visited Japan as a tourist in 2008 and later became a resident in 2015. I cherish the food scene, architecture, parks, safety, culture, and the ever-present sense of discovery and excitement. Prior to my move to Tokyo, I lived in Canada for 15 years, where I worked as a unit coordinator in an Emergency Room. I was born and raised in France, where I worked as an archaeologist specializing in the transition from the Roman Empire to the Middle Ages. I also had the opportunity to study German in Berlin and Korean in Seoul, both of which were amazing experiences. Apart from Japan, Canada and France, I have traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia. My favorite landscapes are Iceland and Ladakh, where I love to trek. Spain and Thailand are my favorite food destinations; however, my most unforgettable cultural experience was in Myanmar. Though, Japan manages to cover all of these with its magnificent Japanese Alps, fantastic cuisine, and unique culture. Licence Histoire de l'art et archéologie Have shown Tokyo and surrounding areas including Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Mt. Fuji and Nikko since 2018 I am not a driver. I can arrange for a private car with driver or taxi.

This evening tour guides you through the city's most photogenic and vibrant corners before settling into a cozy izakaya, tucked away from the tourist crowds. Tokyo at night is Times Square on steroids, a relentless explosion of neon, giant screens, and illuminated streets that pulse with an energy unlike anywhere else in the world. Yet just a few train stops away, the city reveals an entirely different face: quiet backstreets, unpretentious local bars, and the warm atmosphere of a neighborhood izakaya. Similar to Spanish tapas, an izakaya is a place where locals love to gather in the evening, sharing many small plates of different dishes, including fish, meat, and vegetables prepared in a variety of ways. From the hypnotic glow of the city's most iconic districts to the authentic warmth of a local table, this tour captures Tokyo in its full contrast, dazzling and intimate, electric and deeply human.
We meet at your hotel or any other convenient location. Depending on your starting point, we will explore two or three of Tokyo's most iconic neon districts, chosen from Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Akihabara, each offering its own unique atmosphere and energy. We then make our way to a more local area, filled with izakayas and the warm glow of traditional lanterns. Rather than a classic food tour, I prefer to focus on one carefully selected izakaya that offers quality dishes and a fine choice of sake, providing the perfect introduction to Japanese food culture in a lively and convivial atmosphere. We can also add an additional food stop, such as a sushi counter or a local bar, to round off the evening in true Tokyo style. The exact route will be decided together based on your starting point and preferences, keeping the evening flexible and fully tailored to you.
