The perfect way to spend a day in Tuscany: joining a tour of Pisa and Lucca with Martina. In the morning she will guide you around the symbols of the wealthy Maritime Republic of Pisa, that are the world famous Leaning Tower, the Duomo, the Baptistery and Camposanto (Holy Field), which stand out in the 'Field of Miracles'. After a delicious lunch in a family owned Trattoria where you can taste local and Tuscan dishes, you will head to the charming walled city of Lucca. Martina will take you through its narrow lanes and alleys discovering its treasures - the Duomo dedicated to St. Martin with the intriguing Volto Santo and the marble sarcophagus of Ilaria del Carretto, St. Michael Church, the Roman Amphitheatre Square, Giacomo Pucccini's birthplace, the awesome garden of Palazzo Pfanner, San Frediano Church and the Renaissance Walls). Last but not least, she will introduce you to its typical food and sweets (extra virign olive oil, spelt, Buccellato cake. . . )
An ideal itinerary might be: A professional driver will pick you up at the port of Livorno. Private transfer to Pisa by minivan with air conditioning. You will meet Martina by the main arch gate to the Square. Delightful walking tour around the Duomo (Cathedral); Baptistery with its fabulous acustics, Camposanto (graveyard) and the Leaning Tower (Martina will be happy to book the tickets in advance, according to your will). - Delicious lunch in a no turistic Tuscan Trattoria where they serve home made pasta. Delightful drive to Lucca: the driver will drop Martina and you just off the Renaissance walls. So you will only need to cross the street to start your walking tour. From the Duomo, you will proceed through its charming lanes and alleys stopping at highlights and off the beaten-path sights, including artisans workshops and typical products. - Pick up and private transfer to the port of Livorno
