My name is Bjorn and I was born and raised in Iceland, and I know my country well by experience. I am a Certified Guide and I have a passion for traveling and I use every chance I get to travel whether it's in Iceland or abroad. I drive an Audi Q7 e-tron which offers great comfort for up to 4 passengers or a Toyota Proace Verso that suits up to 7 passengers. Going with a professional driver who knows his country and conditions well is a good way to travel since weather conditions in Iceland in the winter time can be harsh and unpredictable. Iceland truly is an amazing and fascinating country with breathtaking scenery and untouched nature and I want you to enjoy it to the fullest and have a save and the most authentic experience as possible. During my university studies I did an exchange year in Vienna, Austria and there I made a lot of friends from all over the world. I've been lucky enough to have some of them visit me here in Iceland and it was then when I discovered my passion for introducing Iceland to visitors. It is a privilege for me to be an Iceland guide and it is very important to me to make your Iceland trip unique and unforgettable. Overview of your Reykjavik tour

In this tour we visit some of the magnificent sights of the Reykjanes Peninsula and the Blue Lagoon. This tour can be done as a day tour from Reykjavik and it can also a part of a airport pickup or dropoff at KEF airport depending on your arrival and departure time. Personally I think this is one of the most magnificent and underestimated area in the country. The vast and raw nature made of lava and rocks where you can literally see the earth steaming in some places makes it a unique place to witness the country's true nature and take in the power the earth possesses. It's one of my favorite tours to do with my guests and I think it's something that people shouldn't miss when visiting Iceland. This is a magnificent way to start exploring Iceland, especially if you are arriving in Iceland early morning and your hotel check in is in the afternoon. You will be using your time wisely by starting your amazing Iceland trip by taking in the power and energy this natural hotspot possesses. There is nothing like it!

Bjorn was very sensitive to our use of walkers and tailored our 2 days of touring to our abilities. His English is outstanding and he made sure we saw all that I had expressed interest in and then some. He picked us up at our ship each morning, and on the second, took our luggage and dropped us off at our hotel in Keflavík at the end of the day. He had a very roomy and comfortable SUV. Unbeknownst to him, my favorite food in the world is tomatoes, and when he took us to the tomato farm to see the greenhouses and have lunch he made it a perfect trip. The first day we did the golden circle and went sightseeing around Reykjavik on the second. I could not recommend a guide more highly that Bjorn.

This is day 2 of 2 tour that we booked with Bjorn. We greeted each other like old friends, not only is Bjorn knowledgeable he has a great personality and is GREAT and fun to be around. We personally like our guides to be fun, it adds to the tour. Bjorn did a great job and didn't disappoint on day 2. We finished up the sites we didn't get to see on day one and had an AWESOME lunch once again. At the end of the day, we all bid farewell but we are planning on returning.

Bjorn welcomed us to Iceland—and what a fantastic welcome! He met us at the airport, and showed us amazing sites on the Reykjanes Peninsula. Seltún Geothermal Area, Kleifarvatn Lake, Blue Lagoon... bam! We're in Iceland! Bjorn shared engaging stories, Icelandic lore, geological context. We experienced and learned so much, even in a few jetlagged hours. And at the end, took us to our AirBnb. Door-to-door service. What a great way to start our trip!

Amazing tour with an amazing guide. We booked with Bjorn for 2 days, Rekjanes and Golden Circle tours and loved every minute. Recent volcano activity and destruction made it even more fascinating. Bjorn is very accommodating to your interests. We had went to the Blue Lagoon the day before our tour so we spent more time at other sties around Rekjanes...there is more than enough to see !!

We had a wonderful day with Bjorn. He took us to a few places that were not on our itinerary, and gave us so much information about Iceland! Seeing the president’s house and stopping at a famous golf course between two lava fields were so interesting. It was a gorgeous day for us to enjoy the Blue Lagoon and Bjorn was so much fun to be with. Thanks for a great day!

Your Reykjavik tour itinerary

From Reykjavik: We start by driving along Kleifarvatn lake and witness the mountains and lava surrounding the lake. Next stop will be at Seltun geothermal area in Krysuvik where you can walk around the area and witness the earth boiling. Next we head on to Gunnuhver geothermal sight where you can walk through the steam that often surrounds the place and hear about Gunna the local ghost. View of the Reykjanesviti lighthouse. Valahnúkamöl sea cliffs. Our final stop before heading back to Reykjavik or to the airport is the Bridge between two continents where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates are continuously drifting apart with great forces under the gaping rifts. We will also make a stop at the Blue Lagoon for up to 2 hours (admission not included). There is not a lot of walking in this tour but we will stop for photos and short strolls from the car to explore the area. From KEF airport the tour will be done from the opposite direction.
