Hi there, My name is Julien and I have been guiding tours all over Iceland since 2019. I offer different kinds of tours, from hiking to family-friendly sightseeing tours, but what I like the most are the personalized tours: I love to connect with my clients beforehand to give them exactly the experience that is right for them. This is why after a few years of guiding groups I decided to specialize in private tours, and particularly tailor-made ones. I have two vehicles ready for you, one is a high end van that can accommodate up to 6 adults comfortably, which is only suitable for paved roads. The other one is a modified LandCruiser, extremely spacious and comfortable for up to 4 adults, which is your best companion for adventurous journeys in the Icelandic Highlands. I am a fully licensed tour operator and my vehicles have all the authorizations required for commercial use. - Wilderness First Responder (Advanced first aid Training) - Commercial driving licenses - Day Tour Operator license I am not allowed to sell package tours that include accomodation.

If you have decided to come all the way to Iceland during the wintertime, I am 100% convinced that seeing the Northern Lights is on your bucket list. They are simply the most spectacular show that nature can display to you. I have seen the Northern Lights (Or Aurora Borealis) hundreds of times, and not only am I still always excited to see them, but I am also taking pride and pleasure in providing this experience to people from all over the world. If it does not always move my customers to the point of breaking into tears (it sometimes does!), what is certain is that it does not leave anybody indifferent. To most people, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If the Auroras are magnificent, they are also a natural phenomenon that comes with a lot of uncertainty and very limited predictability. Even when all the conditions are coming together, the last things you will absolutely need are luck and patience. The luckier you are, the less patience you will need! The following itinerary could be customized:
·When it comes to Northern Lights Tours, there is no precise itinerary because we do not always go to the same location. But albeit there is no itinerary, what there is is a method. ·Before the tour starts, I'll have a thorough analysis of the weather forecasts. The purpose of this analysis is to determine where are our best chances to get a cloudless sky. This is the most important condition to be able to see the Northern Lights. Among those cloudless areas, I'll pick the one that is the furthest possible away from any source of light pollution. ·After I've picked you up, we will then drive to that location, and if forecasts were correct and the skies are clear and full of stars, there is not much else to do except wait! While we are gazing at the stars, we will be tracking any sign of activity while we hope for a wonderful show. ·In case the forecast were wrong, and the skies are covered, well. . . you will then quickly understand why we call it a "Northern Lights Hunt". The itinerary is customizable.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
You can choose between two types of transportation for appropriate costs: This tour is budgeted for a very comfortable Volkswagen Multivan with A/C from 2016 for up to 6 people. I also have a Toyota Land Cruiser from 2021, mounted on 33 inches tyres and with snorkel. This one comes at an extra cost (please contact me) and can sit 3 people very comfortably. Another perk is that is most cases, it allows us to go to very remote places where we will not encounter any other Northern Lights Hunters.
