I'm a local guide in the Reykjavik Area, born and raised mostly in the rural parts of Iceland. I spend most of my free time with my family, fishing or hunting birds in the wilderness of Iceland. I have been guiding for about ten years along with other jobs such as a police officer, commercial fisherman, metal fabricator and many other jobs. I recently decided to devote all my time to guide travelers around my beautiful island as it's the most fun job I've ever had! I love all the tours I do but I think that chasing the Northern Lights is my favorite, it's challenging and there is no guarantee for success so the reward when I find them is addictive and intoxicating. I own a few 19 passenger minibuses and I also have a Tesla Y that I use for tours. I love the nature of Iceland and that's no wonder as the people that travel here usually come to experience that. Although Reykjavík is a nice cozy city I always feel a sense of relief driving away from it and in to the more rural parts of Iceland for the next adventure. I try to give people the experience of freedom and awe on my tours, experiencing the quiet majesty of nature and the solitude of travelling in the most sparsely populated country in Europe. I always welcome any suggestions for customized tours because it's always fun doing things a little bit differently, so if you have any ideas please contact me and I'll see if we can create your perfect tour. The stairway to Valahalla, a magical dragon, a magical fox or ancient spirits of the Native American tribes. How can we explain this magical show of lights appearing in the sky and moving around? These are examples of ancient lore used to explain the appearance of this elusive yet breathtakingly awesome phenomenon called the Northern Lights or the Aurora Borealis On this tour I will do my best, using around 10 years of professional experience, and a network of other guides also on the hunt to maximize out chances of spotting the Aurora. I will pick you up anywhere in the Reykjavík area and take you on the hunt. I have a Tesla Y for groups up to 4 and a Mercedes Bens Sprinter minibus for groups up to 19. Send me an Inquiry for larger groups. Included in the tour is some hot chocolate to keep you warm in the cold winter night of Iceland and some local treats to keep your energy levels up. Seeing the Northern Lights is on the bucket list for many people and I aim to grant them their wish!
