Overview of your Reykjavik tour
The Northern Lights also known as Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon which are most visible during the winter months. They are caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole. Even though the Northern Lights are all year around they are only visible in Iceland during the dark winter months, from September to April on a cloud free sky. The locations visited vary from day to day depending on weather conditions and the Northern Light forecast. Because this tour is weather dependent, sightings are not guaranteed.
Your Reykjavik tour itinerary
We start our journey at around 10:30 pm and drive to where the forecast for the Lights is the best. An adventurous trip in the dark, where we go on an Aurora Borealis hunt. Estimated time would be around 2 1/2 - 3 hours
