Góðan daginn my name is Ingólfur Páll Matthíasson people call me Ingo and I am the expert from the north you have been looking for. As a professional and experienced tour guide for 11 years, I like to share my passion for my home country Iceland with you. I am a light-hearted nature lover and I would like to take you on a journey, where we will make memories, explore stunning places, enjoy special moments and hopefully laugh a lot. I have been guiding tours all over Iceland for more than 11 years and love to show people around. When I am not guiding, you can find me chasing the next outdoor adventure - visiting ice caves, hiking up mountains, riding horses, snowboarding down hills or travelling the world. Sometimes I need to take a break though and then I love to meet some older friends for a game of Bridge, to listen to the birds in the yard or to take my guitar and write some songs. My greatest passion are lava tubes, the caves of Iceland. There is a whole new world underneath the ground which is very fascinating to me and I really enjoy searching for great undiscovered caves in lava fields and especially finding them, which doesn't happen every day. On my tours we will most likely see quite a few birds in their natural environment and you can learn more about them. Like most Icelanders I like to tell stories and I will take you on a journey you will always remember. Fullday south coast tour with you own private glacier hike is something everyone should try if they want to make the perfect daytour out of Reykjavík. On this tour we visit two waterfalls the famous Seljalansfoss and Skógarfoss and not to mention the black sand beach. We will also take a look at the black sand beach Reynisfjara where for example Game of thrones was filmed. These are the hightlights to visit on the south coast and surely a wonderful day. For the glacier hike we get geared up with crampons helmets and ice axes. Join me on this amazing tour and experience the best of the south. Sólheimajökull is an extremely beautiful place to be alive. If you have never stepped on rock solid 600 year old ice, then this is your chance for a whole lot of fun. The views from the glacier are breathtaking so charge your camera and bring an extra memory card. . .
