My name is Sóla. I am born here in Iceland. I love to hike up in the mountains, watch the birds in the summer time and swim in our geothermal swimming pools the whole year around. I studied photography in the States many years ago, worked in Germany and studied French in France. As a child my family spent one year in Denmark. I started tour guiding at 22 when I came home from France because of my knowlege of French. Back then all the roads were dirt roads, there were no telephones and we slept in tents and I still enjoy camping out and hiking out in the nature! I would love to share with you my love for my country and share with you some of it's most beautiful places. Be it the most popular turist spots or the remote and untouched wildernes areas, qaint little villages or cafés. I try my very best to show you the places that would appeal to you. I have a great knowledge of my country and have been working as a tour guide and a driver guide for many many years. I have a fully licensed and a very comfortable and spacious 4x4 Ford Excursion that can take you amost everywhere. Hope to hear from you soon. Greetings from Iceland. Fully licensed Day Tour Operator from the Icelandic Tourist Board. A valid passenger transportation licence from the Icelandic Transport Authority. A fully insured vehicle and guide for passenger transportation. Up to date first aid courses from the Icelandic Red Cross. None

The South Coast of Iceland is renowned for its magnificent views. A visit to Iceland's southern coast includes a stop at the magnificent waterfalls of Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss falls, probably the most popular falls in all of Iceland. Another stop on this tour is Reynisfjara, now called The Black Sand Beach, a world-famous black-sand beach located just beside the small fishing village of Vík. The power of the ocean has changed the look of The Black Sand Beach for the moment so I recommend visiting the beautiful promontory of Dyrholaey instead for the time being. Vik village is a beautiful village by the black and coast. It is known for its charming church on top of a small hill. If the weather is fine we will see the glaciers of Eyjafjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull.
- Departure from Reykjavík in the morning. - A short stop to stretch in Hvolsvöllur or Hella. - View the waterfall of Skógafoss. - Drive to the village of Vik - Explore the Black Sand Beach called Reynisfjara in Icelandic or Dyrholaey. - A final stop in the afternoon for the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. In the summer time it is possible to walk behind it. This tour can be customized.
