Overview of your Reykjavik tour
Scenic and historical tour along the scenic and historic Hvalfjordur fjord and visit Hraunfossar and Barnafossar waterfalls. Optional activities include lunch, a visit inside of Iceland's second largest glacier, a visit to Iceland's largest tubular lava cave, and Iceland's most famous goat farm.
Your Reykjavik tour itinerary
Depart Reykjavik for a scenic and historical tour of the western part of Iceland. We head out of Reykjavik along the coastline of Whale fjord famous for its scenic beauty and WWII history and Iceland's only whaling station. We'll visit Europe's most prolific hot spring and one of Iceland's most iconic waterfalls Hraunfossar. On this tour you'll see farmland, lakes, summer cottages, impressive mountains, valleys and rivers. You'll also learn some of the history of the area some of which dates back to the Viking-Age. Optional visit - Inside the Glacier. This is a side excursion with a specialized tour operator. This side excursion involves traveling in a monster truck onto Iceland's second largest glacier and hiking inside a man-made ice tunnel made in 2015 for about 600 yards accompanied by a guide. Optional visit to Iceland's most famous goat farm Optional lunch - several lunch options. Return to Reykjavik either via the Whale fjord tunnel, or via the highland road Kaldidalur (only open in summer).
