Tour to Kissamos area: villages, landscape, culture and local cuisine.

Starting from our pre-arranged meeting point, we will drive through the area of Maleme, among PDO orange groves and olive groves and we will visit the early-christian rotonda church of Archangel Michael, one of the two rotonda churches in Greece. The 1400 years old monument has recently been restorated and opened to public. Close to the area, there is the Ancient Olive Tree of Vouves which is more than 3000 years old. The local family business of oil and honey productions "Idiosmos" is waiting for us to demonstrate how the products are traditionally made. Tasting experience. We will admire the strange cretan landscape of Komolithee and then drive through the Topolia gorge, in order to visit the cave of Agia Sofia ( Holy Wisdom Cave). The traditional restaurant with locally produced meat and vegetables at the area is where we will have lunch, if desired.
