Hello my dear guests, I was born and raised in Salzburg. I did my University in Kufstein, Austria. Since my studies I was doing tour guiding. I lived for about 10 years in northern Italy (close to Milan) where I wrote my theses, worked there in a company and did my license for becoming a tour guide in the region of Lombardia. My wife brought me back to Salzburg where I immediately did my license for tour guiding and also for being able to drive the people around. My passion is it to concentrate and learn more about my guests and fulfill their interest and giving you a great time during your vacation. Looking forward welcoming and hosting you in Salzburg, Munich, Linz, Vienna, or Innsbruck I am a licensed Austria guide. I have the license of driving the people around (please check for the M behind the windscreen and in the usage of the car must be code one from 22-31). All licenses can be checked any time and are carried with in the car or personally. I am Austria Guide for english, italian and german and I have a panorama glass roof van limousine service.

Overview of your Salzburg tour

On this trip in the comfortable glass roof panorama van or limousine I pick you up in Salzburg and then make together with you a city round to the movie locations within the city. I will explain you the locations and show you the places where the film was made. Then we will go to the outskirts of the city of Salzburg to see two palaces used in the movie scenery and of course the gazebo. We'll chose to either go to the meadow where the opening scene was made, or the meadow of the Do-Re-Mi song, or if conditions allow both of them so you can sing like Julie Andrews. This allows me to show you the beautiful landscape, mountains and nature around the town (my favorite part). After a lunch at a typical regional restaurant (this can be also on a mountaintop) we'll drive to my favorite region the the lake district - the Salzkammergut and last but not least you we'll visit the village of Mondsee with the famous basilica where the wedding scene of the movie was taken before we return back to the city of Salzburg

This tour was AMAZING! Bernd did a WONDERFUL job of showing us Salzburg, including the locations where The Sound of Music was filmed. He even arranged transportation to and from our hotel. I was traveling with older adults so our tour was mostly by vehicle but we were still able to get out and see the sights and take photos. I advise you watch the movie before you do this tour - it will make it even more special. My family can't stop talking about it. I HIGHLY recommend Bernd's Salzburg tour!

We had an absolutely fantastic tour with Bernd. He was knowledgeable and engaging and showed us all the Sound of Music sites plus Mozart and general Salzburg city sites too. He picked us up from our riverboat cruise and had us back in time without us feeling rushed. In the middle of touring, we had an authentic lunch at a mountain top restaurant which was an excellent way to break up the day. Bernd also followed up with some great suggestions for our stop in Vienna. I highly recommend Bernd.
