Originally I am from Styria ("The Green Heart of Austria") but my studies in interior architecture and work in the tourist industry as a tour guide and incoming operator initially took me to Amsterdam and then to New York City and Los Angeles for almost two decades. Salzburg became my new home in 1997! The combination of nature and culture convinced me and my family to move into this area. The city optimally meets my expectations of a place with international flair and interesting history. Michaela was superb! Her food tour of Salzburg was fantastic. It was full of historical information which kept us all engaged, especially our 11 year old as Michaela took us to a few of the Sound of Music spots! We had a great time with Michaela (family of four including 15 and 11 year old). We tasted several items in cafes, shops and the market - all delicious :) We were stuffed by the end of the morning! She was also helpful in recommending places to eat lunch or dinner and some history along the way. Completely recommend this tour for adults but a really fun way to engage younger people in a new city.
