Trip to Innsbruck via Autobahn to visit capitol of Tyrol with major sites and lunch break. On the way back visit of Swarowski crystal world and tour back through countryside. A full day experience that will enrich your knowledge of the alps and the way of life of the tyrolian people.
Leaving Salzburg on the highway to Munich we travel through the Rupertigau which was for centuries part of Salzburg. After passing the Chiemsee we turn south to follow the Inn river which is the backspine of the Austrian federal state Tyrol. Reaching the capital Innsbruck - which was place of two olympic winter games after approximately two hours journey, you will be guided through the historical center of the settlement which originated at the bridge over the Inn (Innsbruck). See the golden roof place of prestige and wealth of the last knight Maximilian I and according to your wish also his kenotaph (empty tomb) with the black men - statues guarding this magnificent sight. After a bite to eat we head back - there is the option for a photo stop half way up the mountain - direction to Wattens to visit the magic world of Swarowski jewels and gems. The route back leads us through the country side along National parks, magnificent mountain ranges and rushing rivers creating gorges and allowing magnificent views.
