Hello ! I am a native of Salzburg and I have been working in the tourist business since 1996. Initially being a tour guide was more a student job besides my studies of business administration, in which I have an MBA degree. After a while I noticed that this is not only a job, it is my real passion. Since then, I have been doing tours in large parts of Europe on coaches, minivans and ships during river cruises. Certainly, I am specialized in the Alpine region, particularly in the Salzburg and Bavarian area. My favorite tours are the lakes district tour to Hallstatt, the Bavarian mountains (Eagle's Nest, salt mines and Lake Königssee), the Ice Caves, Innsbruck and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. My goal is showing my clients the most beautiful and interesting sights of my area and also places which are off the beaten tracks on private tours in my own Mercedes van. Apart from my mother language German, I am fluent in English and Spanish and can provide a big knowledge of history and geography in a relaxed way. In my free time I love to go mountain hiking, sailing and skiing. Additionally I am very interested in magic art and I am member of the magical society in Salzburg for many years. I have a license for the conveyance of passengers. I have a MBA degree for business administration. I am a professional driver-guide with an own company and minivan. I do not offer walking tours in cities in Austria, I only provide guided tours on my van.

Enjoy the magic of a fairy-tale winter day in the Austrian Alps! A breathtaking winter scenery awaits you just outside the doors of the city of Salzburg. The best way to discover this wonderful winter world is by a journey through romantic snowy forests, mountains and fields on a sleigh drawn by horses. Leaving the busy life in the city behind, you will soon be enchanted by pure winter nature. The sleigh ride will start in the region of the Salzburg Alps, close to the charming mountain town Filzmoos, one hour south of the city of Salzburg. From there the way will lead to a famous mountain hut, called Hofalm, uphill-approx. one hour, followed by a rest of 1, 5 hours (for the horses and the people) and downhill approx. 45 minutes. After this the tour ends at your hotel in Salzburg city. In my opinion Filzmoos and the surrounding mountains are one of the best places to be during the winter season and if you are looking for a wonderful day in the snow, this would be the perfect day for you.
Wonderful tour! Our guide Marcus was prompt, beyond nice and exceptionally well versed in Austrian and German history as well as knowledge of all the places we visited and drove past. Marcus was prompt and a wealth of local knowledge during our drive in his well maintained Mercedes van. The carriage ride was perfect, well managed, and the restaurant at the top was fabulous. All around 5-stars.

Leaving the city of Salzburg the tour leads southwards to Filzmoos in the wonderful Salzburg Alps after approx. 90 min. drive. Then you will get on the horse-drawn sleigh, which will take you up to the Hofalm, a real beautiful mountain hut, where Lunch is served. The rest will be for about 90 min. , after which the downhill sleigh ride will bring you back to the valley based station. From there the tour leads back to your hotel in Salzburg.
