Again, as I had Manfred for my Sound of Music tour the previous day, Manfred is very knowledgeable in all aspect of Hallstatt. He gave us detailed instructions on where the Church is, where the graveyard is, where to rent the Electric Boat is, where we can have lunch and so on. He provide us with a good background of how Hallstatt became famous and how it became a tourist spot! I would not hesitate to recommend Manfred for a guide on this tour.

Excellent service. Very knowledgeable. After ascertain of our desire, Manfred took us through the backroads to Hallstatt so we can experience the small villages and alpine meadows. No communication issues at all. Recommend highly.
This was a very amazing tour. I highly recommend it for everyone who is visiting Salzburg area and has time for a day trip. Manfred is very knowledgeable and fun person, but most importantly it appears as if he loves doing what he is doing very much and thus making this tour so much better. On another note, if you are concerned about understanding your guide, leave your concerns behind, Manfred's English is flawless.
We loved our tour with Manfred. He has such a wonderful energy, full of knowledge, and very helpful with things besides the tour. We never would have experienced such beauty off of the beaten track if we had not hired him to take us around. It may appear pricey, but it was worth every penny because there is no way we could have seen the places we did on a bus. It was wonderful not having to be with a bunch of strangers. He had a schedule but let us decide how long we wanted to take. Loved Hallstatt!!!
My husband and I had a wonderful private tour from Salzburg to Hallstatt and Lake District with Manfred. He arrived at our hotel right on time in a spacious, well maintained, air conditioned minivan with great windows for viewing. During our tour Manfred was very pleasant, spoke excellent English, and was a wealth of information. He even took a few detours to show us some points of interest he thought we might enjoy.
