Hello ! I am a native of Salzburg and I have been working in the tourist business since 1996. Initially being a tour guide was more a student job besides my studies of business administration, in which I have an MBA degree. After a while I noticed that this is not only a job, it is my real passion. Since then, I have been doing tours in large parts of Europe on coaches, minivans and ships during river cruises. Certainly, I am specialized in the Alpine region, particularly in the Salzburg and Bavarian area. My favorite tours are the lakes district tour to Hallstatt, the Bavarian mountains (Eagle's Nest, salt mines and Lake Königssee), the Ice Caves, Innsbruck and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. My goal is showing my clients the most beautiful and interesting sights of my area and also places which are off the beaten tracks on private tours in my own Mercedes van. Apart from my mother language German, I am fluent in English and Spanish and can provide a big knowledge of history and geography in a relaxed way. In my free time I love to go mountain hiking, sailing and skiing. Additionally I am very interested in magic art and I am member of the magical society in Salzburg for many years. I have a license for the conveyance of passengers. I have a MBA degree for business administration. I am a professional driver-guide with an own company and minivan. I do not offer walking tours in cities in Austria, I only provide guided tours on my van.

Overview of your Salzburg tour
This tour takes you close to Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner (3. 798m/12. 460ft. )and to one of the most unspoilt regions in Europe, the Hohe Tauern National Park. The route, which follows the ancient Roman road across the Alps, leads through all possible alpine vegetation zones like mountain forests, pastures, rocks and finally ice. On the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, one of the most fascinating mountain roads of Europe, you will be travelling up to the so-called Franz-Josefs Hight at an altitude of 2. 400m/8. 000 ft. The breathtaking view across the longest glacier of the eastern Alps, Pasterze, and the central mountain range of the Alps with Mount Grossglockner is a truly unforgettable experience. After a longer stop with the possibility for a nice Lunch, this tour leads further to the charming mountain town Zell am See at Lake Zell with a break. From there it is a good hour back to your hotel in Salzburg. PLEASE NOTE: This tour is only available in the summer season (from May to Oct. )

This tour leads southwards towards the Austrian Alps. Along the Salzach river valley and via Werfen and St. Johann/ Pongau the route leads further through the Fusch valley to the toll station of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. From there the road ascends to the so-called Fuscher Törl and the Hochtor, the state border between Salzburg and Carinthia. The scenic drive - 48 km/ 30 Miles - ends at the Franz-Josefs Hight at an altitude of 2. 400m /8. 000 ft. After a longer stop with the possibility for a nice Lunch this tour leads further to the town of Zell am See at Lake Zell with a break. Via Lofer and Bad Reichenhall in Bavaria this tour goes back to Salzburg.
