Discover Salzburg by bike: Fun and informative

Michaela is a great guide to Salzburg! She checked in the day before as it was supposed to rain to see if we wanted to change our plans. She waited patiently while we struggled with parking and kept out tour to the planned 3 hours even though we were late. The tour itself is great with the right balance of biking (easy riding nearly all on bike paths -- why don't we have these in the US??!!) and stops for information. And she brilliantly navigated us around the very crowded city largely avoiding the masses of people. We left with a sense of the city and it's history and some tips and what else to see and where to eat. A first rate tour!

This was a wonderful bicycle tour! We rode out of town and into a peaceful, beautiful countryside area. Our guide Michaela was so knowledgeable about history and culture. And she was very accommodating to us. We are elder cyclists with limits that she was willing to consider. So patient and helpful! Thank you Michaela!!

My husband and I did a 4 hour bike tour of Salzburg and the countryside with Michaela and it was fantastic. Michaela kept a great pace for the tour - we got to see a lot but it also didn’t feel rushed. I would highly recommend Michaela if you’re looking for a great English speaking guide in Salzburg!!

We had the most fabulous tour with Michaela! We met at the bike rental and were outfitted with good quality bikes and then off we went through town and into the lush countryside. Michaela is kind, knowledgeable and a most delightful guide. The bike tour is complete but not difficult and the perfect way to see this beautiful city and surrounding sites. We were truly thrilled and highly recommend Michaela. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. Just perfect!

Michaela is a true ambassador for her city. She guided us through the streets and countryside surrounding Salzburg on bikes. She showed us beautiful sights and taught us about the history of the area. There were also cool little facts about things I never would have known to ask about! I also want to mention her kindness and patience. After booking the tour, I developed sciatica leaving my right leg weak. I had a hard time keeping up sometimes, but she reassured me that it was okay and waited for me without complaint. She is a gem, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Salzburg and the lovely countryside surrounding it (with several Sound of Music related stops!). My only warning is to bring cash for the bikes. The gentlemen who runs the bike kiosk doesn't accept cards. It was €110 for my group of five for helmets and bikes.

We had the most wonderful day with Michaela. If you wish for a day filled with history but without the hustle and bustle of all the tourist groups then this is your tour. Although you won’t enter the museums (which we were happy about) Michaela will provide you with all the history of Salzburg you need, answer all your questions and take you on a beautiful bIke ride through the old town and into the country side seeing all The Sound of Music POIs. She’s a real local. The e-bikes from the rental station made it easy as well
