Experience rural Czech Republic and one of its most beautiful cities. Travel back in time and fell like in medieval Epoche.
Leaving Salzburg on the highway north to reach Linz -the capital of the province. Here we cross over the Danube and exit the highway going straight north through the Mühlviertel to reach Bad Leonfelden. Crossing into Czech Republic we first reach Hohenfurt (Vyssi Brod) and the Moldau river (Vltava). We follow the river and pas alongside picturesque places like Rosenberg (Rozmberk nad Vltavou), the former Habsburg Empire province. After approximately two and half hours journey we reach Krumau which is nestling between the bends of the Moldau. Explore the UNESCO world heritage site with your guide and learn more about the necessity of salt, the war of the Hussites a century ahead of Martin Luther. After your guided overview you will have time to enjoy some local food or to walk through the picturesque medieval town. The route back will lead us via Freistadt a unique city with a specific brewery and medieval fortifications.
