Guide #3407
I moved to Washington, DC in 2000 with the intention of staying three to five years. However, I quickly fell in love with the city and the diversity of our country's history as noted in the stories popping out around every corner of the city. Since being in Washington, I have relished the time I spend with family and friends, telling those stories, and I look forward to doing the same with you. Experiencing Washington DC on foot is the most delightful way to see this historical and wondrous city - really touching and feeling this place: absorbing the energy, getting close to the stunning architecture, talking with local residents on the streets - in essence, experiencing life the way locals do. I am an enthusiastic and creative professional private tour guide. I am timely, people-oriented, and I will offer you a meaningful, personal private tour. If possible, I like to add a surprise site to each of my tours. I am a licensed Washington DC guide and a member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington DC. I am unable to provide transportation. I am open to using public transport and ride shares/taxis when necessary. Note that I don't provide museum tours, nor large group walking or bus tours.

It was absolutely my pleasure to tour you and your husband through Eastern Market! Thank you for purchasing this tour and for your interest and your enthusiasm in walking through this historic neighborhood. If you're back in town and want to do more of a "deep-dive" into Georgetown/add an Underground Railroad site, let me know.
We loved our tour with Susan on the Georgetown Walking Tour! She was knowledgeable, well-prepared, and personable. She shared historical details about the development of Georgetown from pre-colonial times through the 20th century, telling us about both the many famous and the obscure but interesting characters who contributed to city we see here now. We couldn't have...

Hi Barbara, Thank you so very much! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and touring you around my favorite DC neighborhood. You and Linda were engaging, interesting and interested in learning. I hope the rest of your time in Washington was enlightening and enjoyable.
We had a great day with Susan on the national mall. Her itinerary was well thought out and she gave us lots of choices to modify to fit our interests. We appreciated hearing her unique stories and perspectives at each location. She is a wealth of knowledge and historical perspective about each period in time that the location commemorates and was later built. We look...
Susan put together a wonderful tour for my Kennedy-loving family in Georgetown. She did a great job of telling the stories of the family and weaving in houses of various family members and their friends. Susan was also super patient with our group of varying speeds and made us all feel at ease. It was a highlight of our trip!
