Day Trip to Gettysburg Private Tour

What a wonderful experience! We actually got two historians on this tour - both of whom were terrific! My 14-year old and I could not have asked for more (and we barely knew anything going into it). I feel like I need to take this tour again just to absorb as much as possible. We got so much fantastic information, background, stories, etc.! Cannot recommend this tour highly enough. You won't regret it - such a treat!

Our day at Gettysburg was amazing. It's an almost two hour drive from downtown DC but worth the time. Once we arrived we toured the visitor center. Eddie had arranged to have a Gettysburg guide jump in our car and drive around with us. We were blown away by the size and scope of the area. There are so many monuments and places of interest. There is no way we would have learned as much if we had rented a car and driven around on our own. We were so grateful for our experiences at Gettysburg. Eddie worked as a teacher for many years and it shows. He knows so much and is happy to share his knowledge. We would highly recommend this experience.

We are Belgian tourists visiting America and had a great day with Eddy at Gettysburg! Beforehand he was flexible and understanding in regards to our requests, questions and concerns. He took the time to address everything. The day of the tour was great. Everything was properly set up for us as the itinary was adapted by Eddy to our requests. We enjoyed the Gettysburg Museum followed by a three-hour battlefield tour with a licensed battlefield guide. Eddy facilitated everything that day and again turned out to be flexible and a great conversationalist on quite a range of topics. The vehicle he provided and steered was spacious and comfortable. At the end of the day he gave us a few more tips to enjoy our further stay in the country. We genuinely really recommend this guide!!

Eddie knew a lot about the subject. Personally the video we watched on the way would have made more sense on the way back after the tour. Apart from that he was friendly, drove safely and was on time. All information was provided so we knew what to expect.

We really enjoyed our tour of the Gettysburg battleground with tour guide Eddie and Jack the battle guide. Eddie shared great information and got us to Gettysburg and back safely. He also gave great advice as to other sites to see in DC area. The Gettysburg museum is very impressive and the cylcorama was very cool. The preservation of the battleground and specialized knowledge of the guide made for a wonderful day of learning about this historic area and the events that transpired.
