Hello everyone and welcome! I was born in Manila, Philippines. Being part of a diplomat family, I moved to the United States at the age of 3 months when my mother was assigned to the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D. C. I grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, a DC-area suburb and after graduating high school in 1998, I moved to Canada where I attended the University of Toronto earning a Hon. B. Sc. degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science. I have been a licensed Washington, D. C. guide for 22 years and a member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington, D. C. since 2008. In addition to being a Private DC Guide offering private tours all over DC, I am a Licensed Tour Guide for the Washington National Cathedral, and do culinary/history tours of DC neighborhoods. I am experienced in working with families, school groups (elementary to college/university level), corporate groups, conference attendees, private parties, domestic visitors, international visitors, military groups, senior citizens. There is a sense of satisfaction and challenge in being able to share with any group interesting places that are rich in history and culture, knowing that I can offer a window of better appreciation and understanding of the places through facts and information I give them. Working with visitors enriches and sustains my interests in history, culture, and current development in Washington, DC and the world as whole, while at the same time offer them great experiences and opportunities outside their hometowns, cities, states and/or countries. Tours are always a good avenue for two-way interaction and learning experience not only for groups but for the tour guide as well. As a guide, group tours also provide me an opportunity to visit various places that will further my knowledge of these places and enhance my leadership abilities. Outside of guiding, my other interests, activities, and endeavors include working with successful business owners and entrepreneurs in the DC area doing brand expansion for a number of online and Fortune 500 companies, anything soccer-related (especially English Premier League and Chelsea FC), sporting games/events, exercise, health & wellness, food (cooking and eating), travel, watching movies, hiking, history, and reading. I look forward to sharing "my office" with you! Licensed Washington, D.C. Tour Guide (Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs) Member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington, D.C. Licensed Washington National Cathedral Guide I am not a driver. I do not have a CDL (Commercial Driver's License). I can accompany you in your vehicle or we can use the city's Metro subway system or Uber.

Overview of your Washington Dc tour

Laid out along two miles between the US Capitol and the Potomac river is nothing less than the cultural and political axis of DC and the United States. In addition to being a grand public open space, the National Mall has become an incredible stage for expressing America's democratic ideals and heritage. Take a journey with a DC area native through the heart of "America's Front Yard" with historical stories, tidbits, and hidden secrets about the major players and events in DC and American history that have earned memorials and monuments on the Mall. It is an exciting experience you will never forget and will keep your heart beating in awe of the capital city of the United States.

Christian was an awesome guide. My teenage boy stayed engaged and asked several questions which he knew all answers to or found them! We loved the flexibility of spending more/less time at different points of the tour, rather than being rushed/waiting for people. Christian had all kinds of interesting knowledge and fun facts I felt we wouldn’t have gotten on a regular tour. It wasn’t a memorized /robotic speech, but rather an engaging conversation we had the whole time. I am planning to use him again for when I bring my parents back. I can’t wait to learn even more!

Christian is so knowledgeable, kind and patient. First time in DC for some in our family group of 5. He made it super interesting yet relaxed and casual as we walked and learned from him. His love for the city is evident and contagious. We enjoyed this beautiful tour in this beautiful city with the best guide! Hoping to come back in the near future, will definitively reach out to Christian again !

Christian did a fantastic job showing us the monuments around the national mall. He was a wealth of knowledge! He paced the tour just right and let us linger at the places we wanted to take more time. He was also very sweet and patient with our young kids. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a private tour around DC.

We had a group of 7 including 3 younger teens that did the tour of the National Mall with Christian. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions and keep it interesting for all. It was a long walk, but he kept the pace easy. He did a great job of engaging everyone individually. We would absolutely recommend him!

This was our first time to Washington DC. We wanted to get the most of our trip and felt that Christian's resume fit our needs and personality. He picked us up at the hotel and escorted us through the Washington DC Mall. He pointed out all the highlights and gave us information on each of the memorials that we would have not known. He was patient with 2 senior citizens and moved at a pace comfortable for us. He was knowledgeable of wonderful places to eat to end our tour. I would highly recommend him.

Christian was super. Extremely knowledgeable, patient with all my questions, never rushed us, and gave us as much time as needed to process and absorb the sights we were seeing and information we were learning. When I come back I will request his guidance again.
