Guide #63738

I have lived and worked in the Philadelphia region all of my life and have always been passionate about promoting Philadelphia's unique history. After taking early retirement from DOD, I developed my "2nd Act" as a tour guide and found a true calling. 18th century history has been my love since I was a child. Working in Philadelphia allows me to continue discovering our nation's beginnings. I have been guiding for nearly 12 years and it has proven to be a wonderful opportunity to interact with visitors from here and across the world. I consider myself a Philadelphia ambassador and love to showcase our great city and the surrounding areas. I believe that telling the stories of the people who worked and lived here is the best approach to guiding and will be a more memorable visitor experience. I live now in a unique South Jersey town that had its beginnings started by an 18th century Philadelphian so I love to expand my stories and tours to South Jersey as well. I am happy to customize any of my tours if possible. Judy is knowledgeable, organized, kind, adaptable, and made our tour perfect. She is clearly experienced in tailoring her tours to the needs and wants of each traveller, and did so for us. It was a great addition to our overall trip and helped us truly appreciate the history of Philadelphia.
