Guide #63704
Hello there, I'm Amy—a proud native of Moray, hailing from the 'bonnie toun' of Forres. Guiding has been my passion since 2017. My touring career has taken me all over Scotland and I have travelled far and wide but I am mostly passionate about my homeland here in the Highlands. The area is immensely beautiful and steep in history and folklore. Its a place that is as exciting for local tour guides, like myself, and visitors alike. There is nowhere quite like Scotland to inspire your soul and take your breath away. The only problem I ever have on tour is that people never have enough time to explore once their heart is set alight for Caledonia. My fervent love for connecting people with our land was ignited during a transformative moment while traveling in Australia and tuning into the captivating series 'Outlander. ' It was a catalyst, awakening a yearning to reconnect with my Scottish heritage and the soul-stirring landscapes that define it. This longing led me back to Scotland, where I wholeheartedly pursued my love for guiding. Driven by a desire to weave tales and forge connections, I found solace and purpose in showcasing the beauty and heritage of Scotland—a career that resonates deeply within me. The prospect of sharing this journey with everyone fills me with boundless excitement and enthusiasm. On tour I am fuelled by a passion to unravel the mysteries of our past and bring them to life, painting vivid portraits of ancient clans, stirring tales of folklore, and the timeless allure of this rugged terrain. I am also a proud member of Clan Leslie. Join me on a journey where each step unveils a new chapter in Scotland's story, where the misty glens and craggy peaks serve as the backdrop to an immersive exploration of our heritage and traditions. Let's wander together through this land steeped in history, forging unforgettable memories along the way. I was thankful for Amy reaching out to confirm everything as my client's decided to make a last minute hotel change and I was able to send here to the correct hotel. My clients had such a great time with her. I would definitely...

Amy T. gave us a tour of a lifetime. She is knowledgeable, personable and gave us a great tour. While we focused our tour on the Outlander highlights, she knew so much more about the history. When we went to Culloden, she gave us a wonderful walking tour of the battlefield and the perspective of the Jacobites and English. She knows all of the Outlander facts and was able...

Amy contacted us a couple times before the tour to confirm pickup location and alert us of weather forecast. She was 5 minutes early to pick us up at our Airbnb. The van was very clean and spacious for the 6 of us. She had water bottles with custom cozies for us. Amy is very knowledgeable of the area history and tied the Outlander story to the historical events. ...
